Hello everyone, hope you are all well. I have just finished the first draft of the third instalment of the Little Whippendon series so I thought I would share the first page with you. Have I missed any off the list? I would love to hear from you:

 

Moshesh’s rules for modern life

(vis-à-vis how to act in drinking establishments)

1. Though shall always get your round in

2. Though shalt not queue.

3. Though shall lean on the bar with money in hand; eye contact means you are ready to order

4. Though shall remember which coin belongs to which player in the queue on the side of a pool table

5. Though shall accept that peanuts and crisps are valid as main meals when offered

6. Though shall not, under any circumstance, sit on a table with a group of people you don’t know.

7. Children should be kept out, or at least kept quiet

8. Thou shalt not order coffee.

9. Mineral water is never the right answer

10. Though shall smoke when in the snug, regardless of law or popular fashion.

missing the zombies?

Howdy all, just a quick update on whats going on at AdamJonesWrites HQ, i.e. my living room.

Firstly, thank you all for the amazing feedback on Morning of the Waking dead, it means a lot to me. If you haven’t read it yet, and you like the ideas of comic but heartwarming zombies in middle England, then you can check it our here

On the other hand, if vampires and the Women’s Institute are more your thing, then you may like the first two chapters of The Vampire Strikes back which is here

I’m currently writing the third chapter of TVSB and another little short. Should hopefully be posting these in the next few days. As always comments, messages follows and favourites are always welcome.

The start of things…

Hopefully by now, some of you may have read the new story “Morning of the waking dead”. Its a comedy about zombies causing havoc, well sort of, in Middle England. If you haven’t, you can read it here – https://adamjoneswrites.wordpress.com/morning-of-the-waking-dead-complete/

 

Anyway, I have started work on the follow up (no time like the present) after all, and it will be reusing the location and some of the characters from Morning of the Waking Dead. I feel a trilogy of middle England horror fiction coming… I hope you are braced for the ride!

I’m back

Apologies, I realise my blog posts have been somewhat intermittent. My bad. I do have some exciting news about the next (not so short) story I have been working on. It’s evolving quite a lot and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I’ll just sat that, is a bit like if Tom Sharpe wrote about zombies.
Also, thank you to everyone who has commented on, or sent me feedback for, going to see my brother. I really do appreciate it and I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

The zombies are coming

Well, not literally… But I have started writing the next short story. Its about zombies but written in hopefully an interesting way. I’ll post an update when I have one.

While I’m here though, I want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has looked at this blog so far. Over one hundred views from ten different countries in half a day is pretty good going by my reckoning. Please share this site with anyone you know and let me know what you think of the stories.
